Here's a chronology of some of my experiences, awards and honours:

1988  Gained Grade 8 Distinction in piano after just two years of lessons

1992  Began singing with Cambridge Taverner Choir and other leading early music groups

          Received voice coaching from James Bowman, OBE

1993  Gained BMus (Hons) at Surrey Uni, specialising in piano performance

1994  Received Distinction for Masters recital as a countertenor

          Lectured Undergraduates in Harmony at University of Surrey

          Became Head of Junior Music at St John’s College, Cardiff

1998  Gained PGCE (Primary)

          Began working as teacher and Music Coordinator at Oldcastle Junior School, Bridgend

1999  Formed a Four Counties Primary Choir in South Wales, 100+ members

2000  Won the County of Bridgend Choir Competition with Oldcastle Choir

2001  Became Head of Junior Music, Moira House Girls School, Eastbourne

2007  Awarded 146 marks out of 150 for Grade 8 singing, received award from ABRSM

2010  Finalist in Barnardos Choir of the Year at Barbican, with Moira House Choir

2013  Shortlisted for the Pallant Prize (international composition competition)

2015  Became freelance composer and piano teacher

          Became Director of Education for Sing it!

          First musical published ‘The Zany Zoo’

          Won the St Mary-at-Hill Carol Competition
