I have been teaching the piano for over 25 years. My own teacher, the late Richard Clarke, gave me my first pupil when I was just fifteen, as he was at full capacity. I appreciated the pocket money, and my pupil did well, so it was a perfect arrangement! Since then I have studied for a BMus(Hons) and Postgraduate Diploma (Distinction) at Surrey University, where I later lectured in Keyboard Harmony. My skills as a singer took me to St. David's Cathedral in Cardiff, where I discovered a love of teaching Primary School children at the Cathedral School of St. John's College, Cardiff. After obtaining my PGCE I taught at a State Primary School, before moving to East Sussex to be Head of Junior Music at Moira House Girls School. Throughout this time I have taught piano, keyboard, home organ, theory and aural.
